Somedays I just enjoy silence. Not the power outage kind of silence but the white noise kind. There are still very subtle sounds an its pretty soothing to listen to the mute tv fuzz or the box fan hum. You ever notice how loud complete absence of sound is tho? The only time you really hear it is when you are in a power outage situation. I’m not really a fan of that sort of silence. But this kind where I can hear my keys clack as I type and that sound almost becomes a language of its own is pretty cool.
I woke up pretty lethargic today. Unfortunately my to do list doesn’t really have space for that so I gotta shake it off. This new apartment I have is on the ground level and thats dope but it means if I open my blinds the contents of my space are pretty much on display. I’m not too excited about needing to be presentable to look out the window but its cool. I’ll live.
Yesterday I deleted my facebook page. I had been flirting with the notion of it for months and the only thing tying me to it was the Donwill fanpage that I need for music. Well I found a solution for that and got rid of it. Well I didn’t delete it i “deactivated” it. You can’t delete your page because all of your images and information belongs to them so if i want back in I just log in.
I don’t want back in. I want silence.
PS – I hate the way my blog looks. I will be fixing that in the near future too.

And since I’m a bad news first kinda guy I’ll start with that. In a nutshell, I gotta get my life together. That phrase sounds so heavy but in all honesty its the little things. Doctors appointment here, better use of time there, following up on things everywhere. I waste a lot of time but distraction is the nature of the beast for me. Doing twitter research has many times led me to a new contact or a mini epiphany of sorts and at the same time it can also be at the root of a days demise.
Which brings us to the good news. This is essentially that there isn’t really THAT much to get in order. Like i said in the first paragraph its just the details i need to focus on. Its not like I’m saying this from a pissy mattress in a crack den praying for change. Nah, I’m typing this from my newly minted one bedroom studio apartment in Brooklyn, NY where amazing is the norm and change is commonplace.
I’ve pushed my bed against the wall so now along with waking up being on the wrong side isn’t an option any more. The sun ain’t got no choice but to shine right? Well I got a to-do list that would overwhelm the best. Now pardon me while i chip away at a few dreams.
PS – The blog stays. I was strolling down the MC Dayjob memory lane the other day and well i got a little misty. Even considered abandoning wordpress and going back home. Then i thought ‘wtf is the point just type’ so im back to square one. I’ve got a plan i think and in the next few days it will unfold. As for now tho lets just hope i don’t lose my voice, again.

Yeah my blogging here has slowly creeped to a halt. I have even been thinking of just deading this place altogether. I don’t think i can do it tho. Yall would hate me for that huh?

You ever had one of those long gut wrenching days where you can’t separate waking up from going to sleep? The kind that never really starts or ends but simply plops itself into your chronology to be filed under ‘it is what it is’ or some other passive dismissive phrase? The kind you can’t take back or regret regretting?
Well those are the most important days.

The homie’s over at 24KMilkcrate were in NYC a few weeks back and I invited them out to film our a cookout my homegirl was throwing. The result is one of the most random music videos ever produced and what was even cooler about it all is that the random isn’t fabricated, it was just another day in Brooklyn. I need to put my life into a scrapbook sooner than later.
